Summary / Abstract (Note)India articulated its foreign policy choice of ‘Connect Central Asia’ in June 2012 when the then Minister of State, External Affairs, Government of India E. Ahamed was delivering his keynote address at First India-Central Asia Dialogue at Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan). He articulated the broad contours of India’s aspirations in Central Asia and also reiterated the strong desire of building and promoting economic engagement.
