Summary / Abstract (Note) | The current tensions in West Asia and the looming war clouds over the skies of Iran appear to be the fallout of Tehran-Riyadh traditional animosity and the US’ killing one of the top most military officer Major General Qasim Soleimani of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps outside the Baghdad International Airport on 3rd Jan. 2020 through a precision missile attack and also due to Washington’s unilateral withdrawal from the much celebrated Nuclear Treaty with Teheran, which altogether have further aggravated the already tense and mutually suspicious relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia on the one hand and also Tehran and Washington on the other. |
