| Summary / Abstract (Note) | Since the establishment of the state of Israel in 1948, fundamental developments have taken place in the social and economic policy of the state as well as in its policies toward the Arab world, the Palestinian people and their cause, and primarily the Palestinian minority within its boundaries. In the latter case, we have witnessed a profound change in the government’s view of the nature of the relationship of the state to its “Arab citizens,” i.e., the Palestinian minority. |
