Summary / Abstract (Note) | Resignation of Sudan’s civilian Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok in January 2022 plunged Sudan into further turmoil. He was sacked by the military in October 2021 and again reinstated a few weeks later after some deal was struck. Resignation was largely on account of continued anti-military protests on the streets of Sudan. The clear demand of Sudanese citizen was that military must handover power on clear terms to an independent civilian authority and not their stooge. |
