Summary / Abstract (Note) | The article discusses the causes and likely global consequences of the military standoff between Russia and Ukraine, which constitutes the most acute phase of the geopolitical confrontation between Russia and the West. The Russian leadership’s decision to launch a special military operation in Ukraine is analyzed using the conception of ontological security. The economic and financial consequences of this conflict may lead to a breakdown of the current model of globalization and facilitate a transition to a model of double global circulation between major centers of political and economic influence. |
