| Summary / Abstract (Note) | I’m grateful to Eduard Murumbwa and Caio Simoneti for organising this roundtable, and for inviting David Baluarte, Theodor Christov, Benjamin Mueser, and Zainab Olaitan to respond to Statelessness: A Modern History. The reviewers in this symposium represent the audiences that I hoped would engage with the book, and I owe my thanks to them for the richness of their reflections, as well as to the 2022 Francesco Guicciardini Prize committee. It is a particular privilege that Charles Maier agreed to write an introduction for the roundtable since I have learned so much from him and his work on the history of modern statehood. |
