Summary / Abstract (Note)Overall the COP28 presents a mixed outcome but not encouraging or one about which people across the globe may feel happy. The final agreement included loopholes, and deferred decisions on different significant issues. The Agreement also could be marked at relatively low levels of funding pledges compared to what is needed to make progress as the incidence of global warming increases. The outcomes of COP28 may be slow and less on ambitions, still such multilateral efforts and processes are necessary for making incremental steps in the right direction in future. COP28 was a major challenge before the oil producer countries as they are solely dependent upon the same.
