Summary/Abstract |
However, India maintains a substantial economic presence in the GCC and will continue to hold a significant political presence in the future. The new geo-economic realities also provide the platform to synergize complementarities into multi-pronged stable relations. Moreover, the relationship between India and the GCC has been in focus in the evolving interdependence on energy economy dynamics in the aftermath of the September 2001 attacks. The ‘Look East’ strategy of the GCC provides an impetus for India to closer relations.

Summary/Abstract |
India has arrived on the world stage. Fast becoming one of the most sought after destinations for international diplomacy, the country is yet to come to terms with its escalating weight in contemporary international politics. The decisive win of Narendra Modi as the new Prime Minister of India has the potential to reshape India’s listless foreign policy and re-engage India with world politics.
