Summary/Abstract Sonu Trivedi examines the evolution of India–Myanmar relations since independence, the uneasiness that surfaced between the two countries after the military takeover in 1962 and the ups and downs over the years until the recent establishment of a quasi-civilian regime. She argues for bridging the critical gaps and weaving the missing links for building a sustainable partnership between the two countries.
