China's new stealth fighter(s): part of a wider scope strategy? / Coniglio, Sergio   Journal Article
Coniglio, Sergio Journal Article
0 Rating(s) & 0 Review(s)
Publication 2012.
Summary/Abstract Over a period of less then two years the Chinese authorities have "accidentally" revealed (through the simple expedient of photos being arguably taken by "spotters" and then posted on the web) two totally new state-of-the-art, fifth generation combat aircraft: first the J20 and now the J-31 (or J-21 Or perhaps F-60). In a most extra ordinary coincidence (if indeed it was…..) both "accidental" revelations have coincided with US Secretary of Defence a China visit. One might have reason to support that an important massage is behind the Chinese's peculiar brand new aircraft, which are clearly part and parcel of Beijing's long term grand strategy". Perhaps, the current and future US administrations are advise to take due note of China's interests and goals in the Western Pacific …. and potentially beyond?
