Summary/Abstract |
The present unipolar world order imposes on almost all countries a 'liberal' imperialistic model of development, inspired by the American system. Yet, the effects of 'market fundamentalism' have been traumatic, and often disastrous for national societies, from Russia to Latin America and the predominant economies, including the US, are also suffering from them. A popular revolt against the supremacy of globalised capital is taking place and Felix N Yurlov points out that it is a manifestation of the everlasting quest for greater social justice and equity.
