Summary/Abstract The conference was initiated by the RAS Institute for Far Eastern Studies, jointly with Jilin University (PRC), and included in the list of Russo-Chinese undertakings to mark the 70th anniversary of victory in World War II. The main work to organize and hold the conference has been done from the Russian side, by the RAS IFES, the Foreign Affairs Ministry of the Russian Federation, and the RAS Presidium; from the Chinese side, by the Presidium of the China Academy of Social Sciences and the Sino-Russian Committee of Friendship, Peace, and Development.
