Publication 2007.
Summary/Abstract In discussing economic issues during the last two meetings of the trilateral academic China-India-Russia dialogue, some scholars raised the necessity of strengthening coordination of the Sino-Indian positions within the WTO framework. Russia is expected to complete bilateral negotiations for WTO accession by the end of 2007, entailing the need to understand WTO rules for trade. Currently, the issue raising the greatest concern within WTO is the collapse of the five-year long Doha Round negotiations and the uncertainty regarding their resumption. With these issues in mind, this article concerns itself with how China, India, and Russia can further deepen economic cooperation in the context of the Doha Round stalemate.
