Summary/Abstract |
It is passing strange that the existence of Auschwitz has not lessened racism. In fact quite the reverse: it has unleashed surplus racism on the 'Third world' and its 'natives'. As I contend here, this is the Auschwitz finale, its abject truth, the dialectical residue of the Holocaust. Jacob Neusner calls it the Holocaust 'myth' and 'mythic theology'. It now constitutes the ruling narrative in the West. This article dissects the Auschwitz discourse and its denial of other holocausts. It critiques the claim that it was the only 'real' genocide. It advances a contrary thesis on colonialism, racism and holocausts in history. I clarify the affinity between colonialism and fascism and Israeli tactics in Occupied Palestine. It is undeniable that Auschwitz fuels anti-Arab anti-Semitism and anti-Islamism. In my conclusion I analyse Jewish criticism of the Auschwitz finale.

Summary/Abstract |
The liberal claim to decency is flimsy. In fact, the liberal norm is indecency. The Muslim case is symptomatic of this reality. The suffering of Muslims is extensive in liberal locales. The threat to Muslim security is intrinsic in liberal theory. It is the liberal genre of exclusion. In this article, I unravel anti-Muslim antipathy in Kant, Mill, and Montesquieu (KMM). I dissect their specious claims about the Muslims and the Orient. I stress KMM's formative influence on liberal academe. I conclude with the criticism of liberal Jewish attacks on Muslims/Arabs/Palestinians.

Summary/Abstract |
In this paper I argue that 'development' was not devised to 'develop' the South; it was invented to advance Western development and Western hegemony. What its aficionados fail to grasp is that the failure of 'development' is not accidental: colonial mastery of the South was necessary achieve this end. I thus spell out the political theory and ethics driving development and its links with the colonial project. I conclude that, theoretically and practically, development as usual has proved to be disastrous, notwithstanding its limited successes.
