Summary/Abstract |
Kamini Krishna investigates the different roles played by women of Indian origin in Southern Africa. Along with their men folk, these women actively participated in various economic sectors that helped them establish a firm footing in the new countries. While they also took active part in political life in South Africa, they remained silent in the political arena elsewhere in the region.
