Summary/Abstract |
Since 9/11, the relationship between China and Afghanistan has experienced four stages, which reflect China’s changing roles in this area. China is likely to play a greater role as it seeks to press ahead, despite obstacles, with its new Silk Road projects. In the future, China will likely be involved in Afghanistan in greater depth and on a larger scale.

Summary/Abstract |
Africa has a long and disturbing history with outside powers exploiting the continent for its natural and human resources in furtherance of their own economic and developmental objectives. In this essay, China's main objectives and the prospects and implications these have on Africa's development are examined. The authors argue that there are two very important perspectives-exploitation and opportunity-on China's role in Africa's development. The authors also argue that African countries must implement meaningful structural and policy changes that could enable them to leverage China's involvement to enhance their development. Whether Chinese interest and involvement brings the danger of renewed exploitation without accompanying sustainable development depends on the extent to which African countries are able to take advantage of the opportunities of this growing interest and transform themselves by circumventing the many economic, political, and social contradictions that are afflicting them.

The study of the modern Chinese migration has been carried on in such important fields as the economic activity of Chinese migrants, the problems of "Chinese demographic expansion," adaptation and tolerance, and educational migration. An increase of the volume of low-skilled Chinese labor in Russia on a temporary basis is predicted.

Summary/Abstract |
Under the wave of regionalism, India like other developing countries started
to integrate at regional level. At the initial stage, it wanted to establish strong
trade relations with its neighbouring countries. It (India) signed its first free
trade agreement (FTA) with Sri Lanka in 1998, which became operational from
2000. Thereafter, bilateral trade continued to increase with increasing rate. It
is in this context, the present study attempts to explore India’s trade potential
and prospects with Sri Lanka, utilised revealed comparative advantage (RCA) and
trade intensity Index (TII). The results of RCA show that India has strong and
sustainable trade specialisation (RCA > 1) in the export of edible vegetables
and certain roots and tubers, coffee, tea mate and spices, cotton etc to Sri Lanka.
This comparative advantage helps not only to diversify product baskets, but also
lead to increased volume of trade. India has no comparative advantage in the
import of any product from Sri Lanka. India has intensity of trade with Sri Lanka
since 1991. India has sustainable trade potential and prospects with Sri Lanka and
been a net exporter to it. Efforts should be made to utilise this potential.

Summary/Abstract |
RECENTLY, the African continent has found itself at the center of Russian and foreign media attention. We see headlines such as "Fight for Africa," "Bet on Cooperation," "The Russians Are Coming," and so on. Detailed discussions and conferences devoted to the problems and prospects of cooperation take place on various platforms. This revival is a result of the Russia-Africa Forum, which took place in 2019 in Sochi, giving a certain boost to Russia's interactions with the continent's countries and causing considerable anxiety in the Western countries that formerly colonized the continent. Preparations for the second large-scale Russia-Africa Summit in St. Petersburg, scheduled for July 2023, are in full swing.
