Summary/Abstract In this article, written after six weeks liasion work in Islamabad, the author describes the work being undertaken by Royal Navy personnel in the Asian Theatre (Op Herrick) and reflects on a challenging aspect the Pakistan military. He will also argue tha, in jobs like these that are far outside the maritime environment, the Navy can make a very respectable contribution.
