Summary/Abstract The purpose of this article is to document the enormous variety of stressors that the modern commander might face. This Taxonomy should be useful for commanders to identify which types of stressor they are experiencing and which types they personally find difficult to manage. If they can do this, they are closer to knowing where they should focus their attention when trying to predict thein own stress reactions. It is then possibel to train to control both the stressor and one's reaction to it.
