Summary/Abstract The current crisis finds Latin America and the Caribbean economically stonger than decades ago, but the area is also in urgent need of a response to social demands. This crisis has already been unleashed, and we are still measuring its real consequences. Its impacts and severity will depend on its duration but alos on how governments respond and how the international community supports those efforts.
