Summary/Abstract
The successful holding of elections in Pakistan on May 11, 2013 was a significant landmark in strengthening the democratic process in Pakistan. For the first time, an elected government lasted its full terms. A transition could be brought in by caretakers entrusted responsibility through a path braking constitutional amendment.

2009.
Summary/Abstract
It is often a difficult proposition for introductory American government students to comprehend different electoral systems and how the rules of the game affect the representation that results. I have developed a simulation in which different proportional-based electoral systems are compared with a single-member plurality electoral system. In addition, the simulation can also serve to illustrate other concepts commonly introduced in introductory courses.

U.S. presidential election: a triumph of information technology innovations
/ Rogowsky, Ye

Journal Article
0 Rating(s) & 0 Review(s)
Summary/Abstract
UNTIL VERY RECENTLY, it had been a general mantra in the United States that it was wrong to put any restrictions on the Internet or bring it under any control. Silicon Valley innovators who designed social network platforms didn't worry too much about how the latter might be used. They planned to organize online communities where members would have facilities for comfortable intercommunication and trade. They had in mind conflict-free, purely progressive development of U.S. digital society and assumed that their designs were far ahead of the resources of terrorists.
