Summary/Abstract |
The author looks at the ongoing changes in economic relations between Russia and Vietnam. He points out the objective incentives and difficulties involved. He surveys, in the order of significance, the principal areas of cooperation, from military and technological assistance to trade and services. He also shows the effect of the world financial crisis on Vietnam and its transition to a new economic model and a "marine strategy" of development. The conclusion made in the article is that the two countries are rapidly drawing closer together and overcoming stagnation where it existed in their bilateral cooperation.

Summary/Abstract |
NOVEMBER 2021 marks the 10-year anniversary of the decision to establish the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).1 A month before this landmark event, Russian President Vladimir Putin, in an article in the newspaper Izvestia, described the Eurasian integration project as a "milestone not only for our three countries, but for all countries in the post-Soviet space" [3]. That idea was put into practice: Armenia and Kyrgyzstan joined the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) as full-fledged members in 2015, Moldova received EAEU observer status in 2018, and Uzbekistan did in 2020.
