Summary/Abstract |
RUSSIAN PRESIDENT D.A. Medvedev will meet with the leaders of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations - Brunei, Vietnam, Indonesia, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, and the Philippines - on October 30 in Hanoi. Our heads of state and government will assess the status of Russia-ASEAN partnership, outline prospects for its future development, and discuss ways of building a better security and cooperation architecture in the Asia Pacific region. In other words, it will be a full-fledged summit meeting, a true strategic dialogue at the top level. And this is only natural. After all, it involves important global and regional political players, two powerful economic growth centers, significant partners who can and should do a great deal together.
