THE TWENTY-SECOND OF MAY, 1990 signified not only an important milestone in the history of Yemen, but also a significant occasion in present-day international relations. Yemeni unification was a major historical event that reinforced confidence and hope in the Arab people and strengthened stability and political balance in the region. It also enhanced cooperation and the constructive development of the states and nationalities of the region.
