Pre-empting Iran: a military assessment / Brower, Keneth S   Journal Article
Brower, Keneth S Journal Article
0 Rating(s) & 0 Review(s)
Publication 2013.
Summary/Abstract Despite the various efforts of the international community to stall Iran's suspected nuclear-weapons programme - whether through economic sanctions, assassination or cyber-attack - the country has reportedly continued its progression towards a nuclear-weapon capability. In this article, Kenneth S Brower evaluates the capacity of Israel, acting unilaterally, and of the US, either acting alone or at the head of a coalition, to reverse this progress through military strikes. The result of this assessment is to turn on its head the conventional wisdom that the US - but not Israel - would be successful in acting unilaterally against Iran.

To stop Iran getting the bomb, must we learn to live with its n / Thakur, Ramesh   Journal Article
Thakur, Ramesh Journal Article

Publication 2012.
Summary/Abstract The latest report of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on Iran's alleged nuclear weapons programme, released on November 8, 2011, has effectively raised the global threat level. The agency faced the daunting challenge of making a judgement on how far Iran's nuclear programme has advanced and its potential for weaponisation on the basis of suggestive but dated, inconclusive and possibly fake evidence (hundreds of pages of evidence have been sourced to one laptop of unproven provenance given to the IAEA by a Western intelligence agency).
