The authors look at the emergence and development of the Pipeline Troops of the Soviet and RF Armed Forces. Stemming from analysis of using detachable pipelines in combat actions, the authors highlight the main reasons for the malfunctioning of their linear parts, and outline rational ways of creating third-generation detachable pipelines based on composite materials, listing their advantages.
