Summary/Abstract |
IN THE ANNALS of Russo-Indian relations, filled with numerous radiant and unforgettable pages, this year holds a special place. There are several reasons for saying so. First and foremost, 2012 marks a memorable date for us - the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between our two countries. It also celebrates the half-century anniversary of bilateral military-technical cooperation. But what makes it truly unique is the confluence of two events of the highest political category: Dmitry Medvedev traveled to New Delhi in late March to attend the BRICS summit, and in the fall, India is expecting the visit of President Vladimir Putin. This had never happened before in our history.
