The global geopolitical landscape of the 21st century is being re-shaped by a rising and increasingly aggressive China, a US-China relationship with a Jekyll-Hyde complexion of economic interdependence and political power-play, a US-Russia freeze of Cold War proportions and (flowing from these trends) an ever-closer Russia-China embrace. India has to factor the implications of these developments in its approach to its external relationships.
