Publication 2012.
Summary/Abstract The article based on documents of the Russian Military-Historical Archives describes the activity of the first Russian military attaché in Korea Colonel I.I. Strelbitsky in 1896-1903. The authors come to the conclusion that Strelbitsky's contribution to the development of Russian-Korean relations was assessed incorrectly in historiography. His activity was much more important for the cultural contacts and mutual knowledge of the two countries about themselves than for the development of military cooperation between them.
