Summary/Abstract The concept of satyagraha is a worthy concept of Gandhi and valuable contribution to political thought. This is struggle for righteousness and virtue and progressive in nature. The satyagraha is a mass action. In mass action, some time violent action will entre in spite of self- control. So is there any relevance of this in the present world? Though it seems impossible, still the relevance of this principle is visible in various place and this gives the society to exist without diminish. So everybody should try to follow satyagraha and truth for a just world. In the contemporary world, there is need to follow the philosophy of our father of nation for the establishment of a just, non-violent and peaceful society.

Summary/Abstract A clear-cut observation on India-ASEAN relations make it clear that both the parties have been able to establish good relationship in political, economic and security sphere where their economic relation occupies a predominant position. After India's adoption of look east policy and reforms in Indian economy, the protectionist nature was removed and India-ASEAN trade placed for open competition and in these circumstances India-ASEAN trade is increasing to its maximum. So it is necessary that the leaders of India and ASEAN work to resist protectionism in the future, and this would help for deepening the bilateral ties between India and ASEAN countries.

Summary/Abstract The issue of Iran's nuclear program has been on the top of international agendas during first half of twenty-first century. Iran says that it want and produce nuclear energy for fulfilling its energy needs, the need of electricity as well as medical needs of the country. Iran claimed that as a signatory state of Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty (NPT) it has the right for the peaceful uses of nuclear energy. But United States of America (USA) termed it as an effort of building nuclear weapons and appeal to the United Nations and other countries to impose restriction on Iran and let the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for the inspection of Iranian nuclear program. India has been maintaining cooperative relations with Iran and established strategic partnership. On the other hand it has maintained strategic alliance and civil nuclear deal with US. In these circumstances it come to our mind that what type of role India is playing to wards Iran's nuclear issue? This article clearly illustrates the India's position on Iran's nuclear issue.

Summary/Abstract India is surrounded by many big and small countries and to maintain cooperative, collaborative and peaceful relations with the neighboring countries is an important principle of foreign policy of India. India's centrality in the region needs a balanced and cooperative approach in India's neighborhood policy. The Kashmir problem, dealing with nuclear Pakistan, Sir Creek and Siachen disputes, water conflict, problem of terrorism, Tamil problems, fisherman problem, border problem are various complicated issues which have to be dealt by an effective foreign policy module of the NDA government. The real test of dealing with countries will be judged during the time of crisis. So an effective crisis management structure is necessary for effectively managing crisis situations with the neighboring countries.

Summary/Abstract The US had launched war on terror after destruction of world trade centre on 11 September 2001 and attacked on Afghanistan due to suspicion of Taliban's link with this attack. After this attack, the US along with the international security assistance force has taken the charge of establishment of peace and stability in the country. Different countries have been providing their assistance for the reconstruction programme in Afghanistan and establishment of peace, security and stability and are cooperating for eradication of terrorism and Islamic extremism. But the international security assistance force will leave Afghanistan in 2014 and Afghan's National Army will take the responsibility of establishment of peace in the country. In this circumstance, this topic provides an elaborate picture of Indian engagement in Afghanistan after the withdrawal of international forces in 2014.
