Of great importance for first responders- fire, police, ambulance, EOD, and specialist military units facing an incidence involving CBRN materials and releases - are protection of troops, civilians and the first responders themselves; detections and monitoring whether for a known or unknown agent or product; and agent identification- which must be done as speedily as possible to save lives.
