Summary/Abstract |
Non-Lethal Weapons (NWL) are define by the joint non lethal weapons programme (JNLWP) "weapons that are explicitly designed and primarily employed soas to incapacitate personnel or materiel, while main minimising fatalities, permanent injury to personnel, and undesired damage to property and the environment." The types of operation they might be employed on include the Humanitarian Assistance / Disaster relief, Vehicle/ Vessels Stopping Clearing Structures/Facilities, Check point/ Convoy Security, Crow Control, FOB/Facility Security Maritime Stability Operations, Support to Civil Authorities, Detainee Operations and Counter Piracy.
