Summary/Abstract |
Even through it has a claim to the title of most complete military service in the world, the USMC increasingly operates as part of joint or coalition forces, which is unlikely to changes as its focus shifts towards the Pacific. It is in this context that the crops is cooperating with the US army in the joint cooperative target identification ground (JCTI-G) programme, an on going effort that has recently been focused on reducing fratricide among dismounts and from air to ground fires. It is also in this spirit that is participates in the multi national NATO sponsored bold quest series of war fighting experiments that enable testing of new combat ID (CID) approaches.
