The authors go over the specific details of test planning for an automated aviation and air defense control system as an example of a complex system consisting of standardized elements. They describe the sequence of steps to be taken to select the test items, draw up a schedule of checks, and choose testing methods and test locations. They also look at handicaps imposed on tests of complex systems and give recommendations to overcome them.
