In this article, the author discusses the importance of upgrading, enhancement and service life extension of military equipment. According to him, the extent of extension of service life of equipment varies according to equipment type and state of preparedness of the armed forces. Also discussed is the relaunch of the armored fighting vehicle family Combat Vehicle-Reconnaissance by the defence company BAE Systems Inc.
