The article presents the author's comments on the use of high-technology gadgets and social media by the rivals of the U.S. against the nation. According to the author, although the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD) is generally good at estimating and preparing for challenges from organized military forces, threats from non-state groups tend to be more diffuse and decentralized, and less predictable in nature.
