The article discusses the need for a system for tactical-combined-arms formations organized on network-centric principles. Topics discussed include existing weapon system of the Land Forces, challenges to designing a weapon system that has independent subsystems all serving one purpose, and the shift to sub-systems in tactical combined-arms formations. It recommends combining the capabilities of weapons, subsystem of weapons and an integrated and balanced weapons system in the Land Forces.
