The article offers information regarding the development in Xinjiang, China. It mentions that since 2001, the state and the autonomous region had invested RMB 11.9 billion of poverty alleviation funds, because of that, the fooding and clothing problems had been solved for 2.57 million poor people, the degree of poverty had been reduced for farmers and ranchers in thirty counties of China, and that a considerable number of formerly poor households are on their way of prosperity.
