Summary/Abstract In May 1982 the UK Royal Navy (RN) rushed the then brand new sea Shua anti ship missile into service in the South Atlantic. Equipping the similarly new Lynx HAS.2 small ships' helicopter, Sea Shua has been developed by British Aerospace Dynamics to give the Lynx a powerful punch against the missile-armed fast attack craft and corvettes, then proliferating in Soviet and Warsaw pact navies.

Summary/Abstract Singapore national defence research and development organization DSO national laboratories has developed substantial experience of unmanned underwater vehicles since the first entered in the field in early 2000 and has recently rolled out a new suite of capabilities for its Meredith family of vehicles. Its initial objective was to developed a robotic vehicle to perform mundane and perilous underwater missions, such as mine countermeasures (MCM) operations.

Summary/Abstract USS North Carolina (SSN 777), the US navy's (USN's) fourth Virginia class nuclear attack submarine (SSN), docked at Singapore's Changi Naval base for crew rest and resupply in late April 2014 after four months at sea. While on its second western pacific deployments it conducted a range of mission including an anti-submarine warfare (ASW) training exercise with the latest P-8A Poseidon.
