On the outcome of a political blitzkrieg in Germany / Kravchenko, I   Journal Article
Kravchenko, I Journal Article

Publication 2014.
Summary/Abstract THE VICTORY of Angela Merkel and the CDU/CSU bloc she led in the Bundestag elections of September 22, 2013 (41.5%) was expected and quite predictable1 - and therefore it came as no surprise to anyone. Significantly, this time around the Germans were not even electing a party, but a concrete leader with whom solely in a personal capacity are associated hopes for stability and firm-handed state management. What did come as a bit of a surprise was the defeat of the FDP, Christian Democrats' former ruling coalition partners, who with 4.8 percent fell out of big politics.
