Summary/Abstract
Ministry of Power, government of India has launched the restructured accelerated power development and reform programme (R-APDRP) under the eleventh 5 year plan to cover towns with a population of more than 30000 (10,000 in the case of special category states) with a plan allocation of more than RS. 50,000 Cr. The aim is to reduce aggregate technical and commercial (AT&C) losses, and to improve services and quality of power through the use of information technology.
