Summary/Abstract By the time this article is read, India would be in the midst of what is being touted as the biggest elections in the history. Around 81.4 crore Indians from all across the country have registered to cast their vote, which is 10 crore more voters from the previous General Elections in 2010. As per the planning of the Election Commission (EC), the polling will be conducted in nine phases from April 7 to May 14 in 543 constituencies. In other words, the country will witness one of the biggest security operations in recent times. It’ll also be a test for the cooperation between state law and order machinery and the central paramilitary forces.
