The author sets out to survey the record of electronic warfare today and to make projections for it in the future. He cites the results of his retrospective analysis of historical facts, provides a chronological account of the ongoing confrontation between jamming resistance of adversary electronic facilities and systems and the capabilities of the Russian EW forces and assets to mount electronic attacks against them. He also looks at the primary systemwide factors that have a decisive influence on changes in the role and significance of electronic warfare in modern and future combat actions.
