Summary/Abstract |
Today, we should look back at the road the EU has covered from 6 to 28 member-states which means that more and more countries found it very attractive. It created the European Commission and the European Parliament, two new institutes of power that help maintain the far from simple and very precise balance of power in Europe. We should not forget the establishment of the EU common armed forces; its common currency not only changed the Westphalian system but outlined a fundamentally new concept of statehood.
