Although, it makes a compelling analogy of the geopolitical position of the United States in North America with India in South Asia. India, particularly in the case of its neighboring countries, has always had a complex and intertwined domestic policy and foreign policy. In terms of geographical size, economic advancement, and political stability, India has been the most powerful country in South Asia.
