Their mutual acknowledgement of ASEAN centrality, support for the ASEAN Outlook on Indo-Pacific (AOIP), its synergy with India’s Indo-Pacific Oceans Initiative (IPOI) and above all, their quest for securing freedom, openness and prosperity of the Indo-Pacific region forms the bulwark of bilateral relations.
