The article analyses the complications in the Korean Peninsula and the role that Russia can play to ease the situation. Russia though largely ignored in the international dialogue regarding the Korean Peninsula has an inherent strategic and economic interest. The inclusion of Russia in the peace process will improve the chances of settlement has Russia shares a unique history with both the Koreas, particularly the offending nation, North Korea.
