Summary/Abstract |
By the fall of 2023, the military
campaign in Ukraine had become
an integral part of the international
political and economic landscape.
Currently, no end of hostilities is
expected: neither a decisive victory
of either side, nor a peace agreement
based on a compromise seems likely
in the foreseeable future. The conflict
remains the main factor affecting the
global balance of power.

Summary/Abstract |
The current year 2022 is seen today
as a turning point amid unexpected
radical events taking place
before our eyes. But in historical
retrospect, it will probably look like
a link in a smoother process—the
accumulation of global prerequisites
for change and their implementation.
Russia has once again set out as an
inciter of such change. It is not doing
this for the first time, especially if
one remembers the 20th century.

Summary/Abstract |
“A dangerous gap has emerged between the realities of the nuclear
age and the understanding of the challenges facing the world.
A fundamental revision and a decisive rejection of outdated
philosophies and obsolete doctrines is the primary and vital
necessity... New economic, scientific and technological factors
are forming an integral interdependent world, in which reality
imposes more stringent demands on the leaders of each state and
requires utmost responsibility in behavior and decision-making.”

Summary/Abstract |
International politics is becoming increasingly intricate. A couple of years ago, no one could have imagined that a top-level mission aspiring to resolve a severe
international conflict would go from Africa to Europe rather than vice
versa, and the whole world would watch representatives of African
countries urge the leaders of major
European countries to stop the
violence and begin negotiations.

Summary/Abstract |
This issue differs from the previous ones, as our readers have probably noticed. The more chaotic the international situation is and the more absurd its manifestations are, the more in-depth and stricter approach is needed in order to figure everything out.
