Summary/Abstract |
In this article I M Shtygashev's treatise entering the college and continuation of the study of a Shor (Altaian), Ivan Matveevich Shtygashev is analyzed, which is based on the holy scriptures, Lives of saint and other orthodox literature. The author shows how thanks to the Providence of God, I M Shtygashev managed to overcome all obstacles to obtaining missionary education.

The article covers I M Shtygashev's study at a missionary training school, class schedule, attitude of teachers-priests to pupils. Teching activities of I M Shtygashev in village Matur, attitude of the local population to him, living and housing conditions of a rural teacher are examined. The author concludes that I M Shtygashev played an important role in the development of education on the Tashtyp land.
