This paper looks at international normative-legal regulations of that address the banning and nonproliferation of weapons of mass destruction (WMD). We also examine Western military and political leaders' views on national security matters that have been shaped by potential use of this type of weapon. We assess the condition and development of nuclear weapons (NW) abroad under the current restrictions in the area.
