The author analyzes the reforms carried out in the Internal Troops under the leadership of General of the Army I.K. Yakovlev, namely: adjustment of the troops structure to the Army model, creating special operations units and aviation, as well as the meaning of these reforms for the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation (Rosgvardiya) at the present stage.
